Enjoying

Enjoying the progress and allowing things to happen at their own pace at the farm. In fact, trying to follow this path in general here on the North Coast in my daily routine. The footings for the first micro house are complete and the rest of the structure is being welded off site by a trusted friend who’s dad is a master craftsmen from Cuba. A man who has shared his love of building design with his son throughout the years. We are designing it as we move along and the collaboration has been a joy without drawings. The structures for the cows and the chickens are moving along as well. Eddie who is the local Pastor is my partner on a parcel we are growing various fruits and vegetables on. He is a delightful man of 40 with a loving family and lives very close to the farm. Eddie has excellent carpentry skills and is undertaking the construction of the Cow and Chicken structures as well. We are hoping to be done with this phase of construction by Xmas not including the micro house. Then we will take a breather and see if the resources we have brought together continue to keep the whole team motivated and compensated in a way that keeps it fun and exciting. The camping thus far has been a joy and the two dogs we have adopted have adjusted well and are excellent sentries. They have learned to take a short cut through the valley from the caretakers house to where we camp when they see my car pass by. It has been nine months since we started. The learning curve remains steep.
